MODERN CLASSICS
FUND

Want a dedicated investment fund with a proven manager and market-beating results? Then the Modern Classics Fund is a great way to diversify a portfolio with a collection built by automotive and financial experts with the sole purpose of delivering maximum results.

RISING DEMAND &
SHRINKING SUPPLY

Investing into the fund is a compelling way to diversify - with growing demand and shrinking supply skewing returns. It also gives you access to a $40bn global market with a return of 18.5%⁴ ARR since 2013, all under a proven manager with over 60 years experience in automotive and financial landscapes

PASSION LED, BUT DATA DRIVEN

The TCC Investment Thesis looks at the key drivers for demand vs the main levers for low supply. Using historical sale and return data, our data scientists have analysed over 1 million data points to determine how each key driver relates to an assets growth.

THE CRITERIA FOR INVESTMENT

We create a shortlist of assets manufactured from 1980 up to 2015 with current valuations between £250k - £5m. Assets are shortlisted based on their potential against the TCC Investment Thesis with a focus on end of era, homologation specials and poster cars.

ACQUISITION STRATEGY

The fund strictly focuses on cars that meet our indicators for future classic status. Utilising our expansive network of dealers and contacts we can acquire cars off-market for less than market value, but only a small amount of cars will meet our stringent due diligence criteria.

HISTORIC RETURNS WITH A CONSISTENT TREND

The HAGI Top returned 30% in the last 5 years and 136% since 2012 and whilst past returns have been impressive, it is the correlation of these returns with those from more traditional asset classes that are most notable.

In the period between 2012 and 2022 the HAGI Top has exhibited a minor negative correlation with the returns of the iShares MSCI World ETF, demonstrating the diversification benefits of investing in collectable cars.

Additionally, the HAGI Top further demonstrated a low negative correlation with both short and mixed-duration bonds, further highlighting the importance of having classic cars in your portfolio.
